Volunteering
We encourage people from a variety of backgrounds to volunteer as mentors. No expert skills or knowledge are required but good communication skills are important.
We offer mentors
training
expenses
ongoing support from the Mentoring Coordinator
regular support group meetings.
We ask mentors
to commit to the organisation for one year from the time that they are matched with a client
to adhere to Refugee Resource’s policies on: Confidentiality, Diversity and Equal Opportunities, Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults, and Health and Safety (these will be available at the information evening or during training)
to give permission for a Criminal Records Bureau check.
To attend one of our evening sessions providing further information, please contact the Mentoring Coordinator
